About

Hello! I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who has been counseling adults and adolescents in the Bay Area since 2020. My approach to therapy is grounded in relationally-oriented psychoanalytic practice and influenced by elements from Buddhist psychology and mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and narrative therapy .

Before becoming a therapist, I completed a joint MA degree in cultural anthropology and feminist studies, and worked at various nonprofit agencies serving socially marginalized young folks. As such, I also integrate into my approach anti-oppressive explorations around how socio-political power structures constrain healthy flourishing on individual and collective levels.

The journey that led me to pursue this career began through my own experience in therapy, where I first started to learn about the various kinds of healing that are possible within the context of the therapeutic relationship. I pursued an MA in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute, engaged in two years of training in narrative therapy through the James Morehouse Project, and also completed a two year post-graduate training program in psychoanalytic therapy at The Psychotherapy Institute.

I am passionate about my work and believe that therapy offers a unique opportunity to be in more open connection with yourself, others, and the world around you. With my warm, engaged, playful, and compassionate style, we will focus on understanding how and where you might be feeling stuck in your life, and then start figuring out what is most needed for internal dynamics to shift in a way that allows for desired change to occur. There is no one path forward, but together we will collaborate in a process to discover what most serves your healing and growth.
